These boots are winners; the only reason they don’t rate five stars is that the soles are not evident ‘ice grabbers’ (but they are substantial), and these boots do not have top cinchers. (If necessary, the tops might be snugged with a steel bookbinder clip.) I plan to try these LaCrosse boots for summer hiking and kayaking in the Arctic. The steel shank gives expected foot support. Hiking on ice? Plan to grab a rod or staff to comfort you! These are indeed economy boots, but for the money they may be impossible to beat.

very nice knife, especially for 17 bucks. cant beat it. dont let the picture fool you though, its hard to see. i thought it was gonna be a double edge knife, but it isnt. its got one side. still great though, easy to cary, stays in the hard plastic sheath. Anything more would be to big. it comes with a chain to put through the hole at the butt i guess, if you wanna carry it under your neck or somewhere else. pretty damn sharp. nice coated finish, reminds me of my Ka-Bar.

Growing up in the deep south and having spent a lot of my time in the Swaps of the south I know a great boot when I find one. These boots are rugged and well built with the extra bit at the heel so allow for easy kickoff when they are covered with mud and muck. I the slick red clay of Georgia they provide me great tread traction and long wear comfort on my feet. Worth the price and more.

These are great boots. I have used these boots 5 days a week for around 1 year now and are still in great condition. Excellent purchase, should last years.

The only problem with these boots is that they don’t traction on wet surfaces. I would be concerned climbing on large rocks that are wet. I have almost slipped once or twice on wet floors. They will still do excellent in dirt and mud.

This is a medium quality knife. I bought it just to add to my collection.

It is full-tang with a textured rubber grip. It’s very lightweight. The scabbard is nylon. It has a very slim profile which makes it ideal for a boot knife, but the slim design feels loose in my hand and it doesn’t have much of a hilt. I’ll reserve it for slicing only.

This is a nice, high quality knife, as every Smith and Wesson knife I’ve ever owned or seen has been. Mine arrived a little less than the S&W ‘razor sharp’ guarantee, but I also own one of their diamond dust sharpeners, so that was easy enough to remedy.

Note: Know your state’s weapon laws before carrying any knife around in your pocket. Every state varies and some have very vague definitions to leave the decisions entirely up to the discretion of the police. This is a pretty safe choice if you are looking for a knife to carry, as it’s not a ‘dagger’ (it is a one sided blade), the blade is less than five and a half inches, and it could conceivably be used as a utility knife.
